HARARE Women's Nate Allen Jersey , Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe said Saturday underperforming ministers will fall by the wayside when he reshuffles his cabinet next week, state broadcaster the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation reported.


The veteran president, who was addressing his ruling ZANU-PF Youth League National Assembly meeting in the capital Harare, said the reshuffle will see some ministers being reassigned.


Mugabe last reshuffled his cabinet in 2015. The fresh reshuffle comes ahead of the 2018 polls and at a time when his party is beset with intense infighting over his succession.


Meanwhile, Mugabe urged party youths to be disciplined and desist from politically and ethnically motivated violence.


"It is on this note that I once again encourage the young ones to desist from drug and alcoholic substance abuse, as well as from politically Women's Jordan Phillips Jersey , and ethnically motivated violence," Mugabe said.


He encouraged youths to embrace information and communication technologies and use them for the development of the party and the nation at large.


"The youth must not abuse these platforms and so they should avoid following and supporting those who have advocated regime change politics," he said.


With a few months before next year's general elections, Mugabe also spoke on the need for youths to encourage each other to register to vote.


Zimbabwe is conducting a fresh voter registration exercise for the 2018 polls using biometric voter registration technology for the first time.


The country's electoral body has said it is targeting to register seven million voters, up from 6.8 million in the 2013 vote.




CANBERRA, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- A coalition of leading Australian health experts has called for a 20 percent tax on sugary drinks to combat obesity.


The group Women's DeVante Parker Jersey , made up of 34 high-profile health organizations including the Obesity Policy Coalition (OPC) and Cancer Council, on Tuesday delivered the "Tipping the Scales" action plan to the federal government calling for obesity prevention to become a national priority.


The plan includes a 20 percent tax on beverages containing added sugar and an embargo on unhealthy food advertising on television during prime time when most children are watching.


Jane Martin, executive manager of the OPC, said that widespread obesity was having dire effects on Australia's economic and physical wellbeing.


"63 percent of Australian adults and 27 percent of our children are overweight or obese," Martin said in a media release on Tuesday.


"Our kids are bombarded with advertising for junk food, high-sugar drinks are cheaper than water Women's Xavien Howard Jersey , and sugar and saturated fat are hiding in so-called 'healthy' foods. Making a healthy choice has never been more difficult."

In addition to key recommendations such as the tax and advertising embargo, the coalition also called for additional funding for public education campaigns and mandatory health ratings on all food by 2019.


Anna Peeters, a professor of public health at Deakin University, said if current trends continued, 1.75 million Australians aged 20 and over would die as a result of obesity between 2011 and 2050.

JUBA, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- South Sudanese local film industry, though still nascent, is slowly growing following the launch of the annual film festival last year, which encourages production of films reflecting the country's culture.


Most movies at this year's festival Women's Cordrea Tankersley Jersey , which opened on Tuesday, are works of young men and women inspired by their country's turbulent past and present that also includes social, cultural complexities like early child marriage and domestic violence.


Wilma Poni, 22, a budding actress and also student of accounting and finance at Juba University, plays a supporting role in the drama "Dollar" depicting the scarcity of hard currency in the prevailing economic hardship in the country.


Poni told Xinhua in Juba Thursday that she has sought inspiration from the current challenges.


"I started acting in 2014. At that time we had an event on peace following eruption of conflict in our country. There are a lot of problems like the shortage of U.S. dollars Women's Raekwon McMillan Jersey , we started to make fun of it," she said.


The other movie in which Poni stars, Tears of Street Kids, is currently a nominee in this year's second annual film festival organized by Juba Film Limited.
